RestraintOfTrade blog is back from an extended hiatus due ... well ... to a little law firm drama.
For those unaware, look here and here.
A recent article on the new firm - Hausfeld LLP, a global claimants law firm, and the first of its kind - is available here .
With its re-launch, RestraintOfTrade will have a renewed focus on the legal news and analysis affecting global claimants. RestraintOfTrade will be a resource for finding the latest judicial decisions, scholarly works, news stories, and independent analysis relevant to global claimants' issues.
In the next few days, we'll be discussing a cutting-edge model for resolving global liability, which may provide a template for future cases.
Today, we simply note the decision by Judge Paul L. Friedman late Friday to substitute Hausfeld LLP as Co-Lead Counsel (along with Quinn Emanuel) in the Rail Freight Fuel Surcharge Antitrust Litigation. This decision resolves one of the last (if not the last) disputes between Hausfeld LLP and Mr. Hausfeld's former firm over leadership in ongoing cases.
